Well peeps, its that time of year again, where for me at least it gets cold and christmas comes around and its best to give than to receive.

I came across a project called Help-Portrait. This project wants to enable the gift of the photograph to those who need it but are otherwise unable to afford the costs of a photo shoot etc.

The problem is many groups still need participants, we need resources in all forms, shapes, sizes. We need make up artist, we need photographers, we need promoters, we need energy, power to do this.

It is suppose to happen December 12 2009! It is so close and so near. Please, if you can, or know someone who can help please follow the links below and participate. There are groups for many many locations, your town might already have one and if they don't then you can start one.

We are trying to hold meetings on the phone, talk by email, facebook, etc.

Some things we are trying to find are sponsors or student labs that can help with printing services. Sponsors can be anyone, cvs locations, local mom/pop print shops etc. Locations to host the shoots, remember NYC is really 5 boroughs! Anyone able to lend equipment?
